This comprehensive, state-approved program equips new drivers with the skills and confidence needed to navigate Vermont’s roads safely and responsibly. The course combines classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, and observation to create a well-rounded learning experience and adheres to all Vermont DMV requirements.
30 Hours of Instruction
Students will master essential topics including Vermont traffic laws, road signs, safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, responsible vehicle ownership, insurance, general vehicle maintenance, risk factors, and the dangers of distracted and impaired driving.
Additional Modules
Learn about the importance of seat belt use and how speed affects stopping distance and overall safety.
6 Hours of Hands-On Driving
Students practice driving in a variety of conditions, including busy city streets amongst pedestrians, roundabouts, and highways.
Skill Development
Focus on key Road Test maneuvers such as parallel parking,Hill Stop & Start , Turnaround, and overall vehicle control.
6 Hours of Observation
Students observe peers driving under instructor supervision, learning from both effective techniques and common mistakes.
